Infidel by David Neipris

How much is a genocide worth on the art market? We discover the price when a Turkish woman’s desire to purchase a painting triggers Sam Vardanyan, an Armenian-American art dealer reckoning with history and his own hypocrisy.

Vardanyan clings to his painting not just from sentiment, but as a weapon in his war on Turkish denial of atrocities against his people. But his self-image crumbles as his racism suggests a perpetrator lurking within the victim.

Honored to be back in NYC with this play.
