Delores, Who Now Knows Everything by Kathleen Culebro

In 18th-century Mexico, Dolores is revived from her deathbed after her husband, Santiago, strikes a bargain with God. She returns with miraculous knowledge of all things past, present and future, including science, art, and a lost Shakespeare play she is desperate to preserve. Meanwhile, the town priest will do whatever he has to do to regain the attention that has now turned toward Dolores, including stage his own near-death experience to access divine wisdom.

After 25 years of artistic leadership, Culebro has returned her full focus to her own writing. Her contributions as both playwright and artistic leader have earned her recognition including Arts Fort Worth’s 2025 Trailblazer Award, the 2020 Kline-Watts Award for Cultural Contribution, and a Special Citation for Support of the Veteran Community.

When she is not writing, Kathleen trains dogs privately and works on the Behavior Team at the Humane Society of North Texas, specializing in reactive and under-socialized pups. She lives in Fort Worth, Texas with her husband and two high-maintenance dogs.
