Lewis is a producer and director of theater and teacher of acting and directing.
For Broad Horizons, Lewis has directed the critically acclaimed Evensong; an award-winning revival of Cloud 9; an adaptation of Women of Troy; and readings and workshops of new works. Lewis has also directed at the Asolo Festival, the English-American Theatre in Düsseldorf; Pennsylvania Center Stage; and Rutgers University. Lewis was Associate Artistic Director of Tony Honoree The Acting Company in New York City.
Concurrent with his work at Broad Horizons Theatre Company, Lewis is also Assistant Professor at The Department of Theatre at Miami University of Ohio, where he teaches acting and directing and directs productions.
Lewis holds an M.F.A. in directing from the Pennsylvania State University; an M.A. in theatre from Northwestern University; and a B.A. in liberal arts from Davidson College.
Pamela has been delighted to be a part of Broad Horizons for the past decade. Since 2001 she has worked for the Dodgers (Current Broadway: JERSEY BOYS) as Producing Associate to the company's President Michael David and as Director of Business Administration. In 2005, she co-founded Sterling Bridge Productions to produce Drama Desk Award Winner and GLAAD Media Award Nominee CHRISTINE JORGENSON REVEALS. Sterling Bridge currently has numerous projects in development for stage and film. Pamela is a graduate of Penn State University and the Commercial Theater Institute 14 Week Program.
Dorothy Chansky began her career as an actress. After seven years performing on and off Broadway, she wrote and produced an original musical about the building of the Brooklyn Bridge and fell in love with historical research. She subsequently earned a Ph.D. in Performance Studies at N.Y.U. and has gone on to publish a dozen scholarly articles, 180+ reviews and pieces of theatre journalism, and a book, Composing Ourselves: The Little Theatre Movement and the American Audience. Dorothy has been book review editor of Theatre Journal and writes criticism for New York Theatre Wire. She has mentored young critics and dramaturgs at the American College Theatre Festival and has directed new feminist plays at both the University of New Mexico and The College of William and Mary. She is currently working on a book about domestic labor and dining on the American stage. Dorothy will become editor of Theatre Annual, the oldest American journal of performance studies, in 2011.
Jacqueline McLoughlin, known to her friends and family as “J,” moved to New York City in the summer of 2002, after graduating from The College of William & Mary with a degree in English and Theatre.
Once in the big city, J. continued pursuing her love of theatre, and started a career in public administration. Her first job in the city was an internship in stage management at The Juilliard School. Currently she is the Membership Services Director at the Advertising Research Foundation.
In her spare time, J. is working toward a Masters in Public Administration at Baruch College.J.'s true passion is ensuring that today's youth are exposed to the performing arts. This passion has led her to volunteer for the Smart Partner Program at The 52nd Street Project, where she mentors children.
J. lives with her husband, Todd McLoughlin, in New York City.
Mike Hess joined Carat as EVP Research, Marketing Science and Consumer Insights in February, 2009. In this role he has focused on research tools and techniques involving marketing mix ROI, consumer segmentation/targeting, and branded entertainment/product placement valuation techniques. He is involved at present with the rollout of a new global research study in partnership with Microsoft, which will be presented at Advertising Week in September, 2010. Mike works in Carat’s New York office, where he leads the US research function for the company.
Before joining Carat, he was Global Research Director at OMD, where he introduced tools that fused psychographic segmentation with media consumption. He also conducted a number of global studies with partners such as Yahoo! and AOL’s Platform A. While at OMD he served on an industry committee that focused on how to evaluate product placement and branded entertainment.
Mike has written 100+ articles and conference papers about marketing/advertising topics and is active in the Advertising Research Foundation and the Ad Council.. He is currently Chair of the Council for Research Excellence, an industry group of 40 top media research professionals.
For the Journal of Advertising Research’s 75th anniversary year, Mike is co-authoring a review of Quantitative Methods in Advertising Research. He is also contributing to a chapter in a new book on the topic of the future of Social Media.
